The East Yorkshire village of Foggathorpe has a varied and colourful past.
Founded in Viking times and with a population of rarely more than 100 people, it has survived the ravages of time.
It seems no more than deserving that this special little place, more latterly bonded by 250 years of Methodism, should have a permanent record of its past.

John brings the village to life....Every village needs a John Leake who is prepared to take up the challenge and produce, as he has done, such a facinating record of their community.
